Living Learning Communities vs. Regular Living

I have been accepted into the school of engineering at UCONN and I can’t decide if I want to try to live in the Engineering Learning Community or regular dorm living. I fear that I will not socialize enough with people outside my major if I live in the learning community, but in the learning community I will provide me with help and support from others who are taking the same classes as me. I would love some advice.

I was also accepted into the school of engineering and I know that the engineering learning community is in the new Werth building and I’ve been told that they have better rooms, so you have to take that into consideration too. Also in that building there’s other learning communities so it won’t just be engineering people.
