Living Off Campus Freshman Year

To make a long story short, I was not planning on going to USC due to the financial aid but after months of sending documents to the financial aid office, I can now afford and attend. I don't have any housing reservations and apparently all on campus housing is full so I would have to go off campus. It looks like this Tuscany housing is also full too so I am left with "University Gateway" which is the closet to the campus. It's not for USC students only though so I can't even guarantee a USC roommate................

But anyways, do you think this will pose a big problem socially? Any suggestions?

Also, if you have any suggestions with this housing problem feel free to let me know. Thanks a lot.

University Gateway is probably 95%+ USC students.

I live a bit way off to the north from USC campus (15 min drive) and, honestly, I don’t think I will have any problems socially. I lived off-campus my freshmen year at my previous university before I transferred to SC, and it posed no problems. Just be proactive when you’re on-campus, whether it’s during class or leisure time. I met most of my friends in my lecture halls, not where I lived despite the fact that I lived in an all-student off-campus housing.
