I've never wanted to live on campus but I've been looking into It a lot and I have changed my mind I really want to experience the dorm life, now I am so hooked on the idea! but I just want some advice on how the life is there and your encounters with your roommates. Akward? Please let me know about your experience!!

Well. I personally enjoy living on campus. It’s incredibly convenient. Classes are all within a 10 minute walk, so I don’t have to wake up early or leave incredibly early to get there. Plus if I forget something I can just as easily walk back to my dorm. It’s also convenient if you want to go to many on campus events like movies, activities, dances, concerts, or whatever else they offer. Easier to be a part of clubs, since you don’t have the limitation of traveling to get there.
Uh. Room mate wise it just depends on who you are and who your room mate is. I despised my first year room mate and didn’t get along with her at all. But she was sort of a negative person who partied all night, slept all day, skipped classes, and generally kept me up with her tv shows etc. My second year room mate was great compared to the first. We talked quite often for the first month or so, then sort of came to the realization that we didn’t have too much in common, so we just kept to ourselves more or less and respected each others space. We then occasionally would go to campus events together, or make small talk, and I’d help her with her homework… but it was still fine. At least we got along.
Everyone’s experience is different. But even if you end up with a bad room mate, which I would think is rare, you can still enjoy on campus life. At least I did that first year.

Campus life is almost helpful for everybody. You don’t need to wake up early for the classes and you can join or evolved in collage activity and stay in touch of your campus friend. But as per room partner it depends that who is with you. In general almost adjusts with there roommates easily. You should try this defiantly you will enjoy this life.

A on campus housing person explained it to me the best. Sure you will likely find something cheaper just off campus, but overall living on campus is a write off on expenses.

Many apartments have some fine print monthly fees and a utility cap.

The suite dorm bathrooms on USF campus are cleaned weekly (community bathrooms daily) in apartments you’d haft to do it yourself.

At a apart, you haft to wake up early before class, drive to campus-find a spot and then commute to class. On campus most builds are a 10 min walk or you can hop onto the on campus bus.

I loved living on campus personally, my 2 hour break between classes I had time walk back to my dorm and catch a nap or relax before the next class, as opposed to driving off and having to find a spot again.
