Could anyone please explain to me what an LLC is?

In terms of what?

I’ve only heard the term LLC referenced when talking about housing options.

Living Learning Community? These tend to be dorms which are focused around a particular theme. A “green” LLC might be LEED certified, feature a number of recycling options, require RAs to plan activities which focus on learning about/ mending the environment, and do other things to promote environmental awareness/activism among students.

@whenhen oh so they are like themed dorms.

yes exactly and different schools have different LLCs.

And here I assumed we were talking about: <a href=“Limited liability company - Wikipedia”>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limited_liability_company

I love it when an OP asks a vague question.

You’re welcome.

You’re smart enough to get into Northeastern. Surely you have the skills to find this on the NU website:
http://www.northeastern.edu/reslife/livinglearning/index.html

@MommaJ Yes I had found that site, I just wanted to know opinions from different CC’rs

Well, if what you’re looking for is insight into Northeastern’s LLC’s specifically, you should post on Northeastern’s forum. I’m sure LLC’s vary a lot at different schools, and you’ll want to get the info for the school you’re considering.
