LLCs

My son is a freshman this year and considering joining a themed llc for next year. It's really hard to get any real information though. One question he has is he wonders if he'll end up getting roomed with a freshman, which isn't so appealing.

His decision to go this route is largely due to his decision to not join the fraternity he pledged so he has housing decisions to make and he also wants to be able to connect with people easily -- since he has cut himself off from the frat friends he has found he doesn't have a social life...

Any experiences with LLCs (he's looking at the Performance Arts) would be helpful.

If not living with a freshman is his biggest concern, then he should probably live in Wilkie. Unless he decides to room with a friend next year, it is very likely that he will end up with a freshman roommate, because they make up the largest portion of students that live in dorms.

If he decides that living with freshmen isn’t a big deal, then he should definitely go the LLC route. He’s more likely to find people who he has at least something in common with, and this will make it easier to make friends.
