Hey guys, so I’m in a bit of a dilemma. A lot of my friends have been getting into LMU already and I haven’t received anything yet from this school but my chances of getting were pretty high when I talked to the admissions director, prep scholar, and the constant emails I received from this school. My friend has a 3.6 and an 1800 SAT Score but received his acceptance on February 21’st. We both applied on January 13’th. Should I be worried?
GPA: 3.6 (not great but I underwent a huge trauma)
SAT: 1960 (took it during the period of time of the trauma)
Major: pre-med
Alt: Undecided
Please Help me. Do you think I could possible get accepted?
@worrywarts - sorry about your difficulties. Is that GPA weighted or unweighted? You also don’t say anything about other factors that might affect your admission, like ECs or such.
That’s unfortunately my weighted GPA. I am captain of Two choir teams (been a part of it for more than five years), Co-captain of my debate team which I have been a part of for four years, I’m currently employed and have an album releasing soon enough, I’m captain of my senior ballet team (for three years), I choreograph my little youth team, I volunteer at a medical clinic, and the vice president of the American Red Cross club at my school, I teach Sunday school, am very religious-oriented, I tutor at school, and I’m president of two other clubs for about two years now. I also took care of my sick grandmother for three years out of four during my high school career. And some other stuff I probably can’t think of because I’m so busy. so with all this in mind, what do you think?

I also have volunteered at several homeless shelters as well during Thanksgiving and Christmas and my essays for LMU were my best ones yet. I have had many students and teachers read them, including some who don’t know me very well and they all felt like they were very strong
