I recently got rejected as a transfer Film Production Major. I applied on the 15th of March and was sent a rejection letter in the mail on the 24th. My Application was good, my GPA was good as well, and I fit all of the criteria. I am just wondering why I got rejected so quickly and if I can appeal the rejection? If I can appeal, then how exactly does the process work?

You should call and ask. I know for a fact that USC has no appeal process for film production majors.

Edit: Keep in mind that the extra essay they give you is an important admission factor, so it is not just grades, it could be another reason but it is a strong possibility.
