Iā€™m happy I got accepted, though LMU was a safety.
I have not received a physical letter of acceptance yet, or scholarship info. I asked the admissions office and they said that you will probably receive it within 2 weeks of your acceptance.
Is it weird that I havenā€™t received an email about setting up myLMU? I have been having issues with my engage LMU because it is under an incorrect email, so I am worried that I missed the email about myLMU. I tried calling the admissions office but I donā€™t think it is resolved yet.

@ashleyucla2021 the email for setting up myLMU came a couple hours after i saw my decision

I applied back in November. I havenā€™t heard anything yet. A bit nervous.

thought i would post my stats to make others with a not so high GPA feel a bit better

Status: Accepted
In state, out of area
major: undeclared
GPA: 3.54 UW
SAT: did not take
ACT: 29
EC: Soccer team (2 years) Red Cross Club (2 years)

Honestly, i really did not think i was going to be accepted but I did have a strong upward grade trend and i thought my essays were pretty good. I was not really considering LMU as one of my top choices because during my tour, I didnā€™t really get the kind of ā€œvibeā€ that i was really looking for, but i might be rethinking that now.

Will be applying (my senior, that is) for Spring semester admission (this might sound odd, but he applied to UCs and other large public Uni.'s for fall 2017, but now would prefer private Uni. ā€“ so he since missed applic. deadline; will plan on Spring 2018 ā€“ so will be applying early for that (semester). Has good stats (GPA 4.3 W, 4.0 UW, 1440/1600 sat, good ECs including current HS varsity captain. Curious if anyone else here is considering Spring term start date. I know its awkward for the freshman seminar course but I think they allow a few spring admits anyhow.

Then the LMU scholarships will be available 2 weeks later???

I have 90/100 scale, got a predicted of 41/42 in IB, 1320 SAT, very strong extracurriculars, have 4 publications one of which is published in Cornellā€¦ I am admitted to LMU, but havenā€™t received anything about the scholarships. I will definitely get a scholarship right after some time??

@helloucla844 I emailed admissions and they said financial aid packages/awards would be sent out 2-3 weeks after you receive your decisions.

I just got a letter inviting me to apply to the LMU Honors Program. At first I was really excited about this, until I realized that the presidential scholars get automatic admission into the honors program (they donā€™t have to apply for it). Does this mean that I will not be getting a presidential scholarship? :frowning: The only way I can attend LMU is if I get some sort of scholarship.

If they are invited you to Honors Program, then you are special!!

@ashleyucla2021 I wondered if you got an answer to your question about honors and the presidential scholarship? My D is in the same situation. She got the invitation to apply to the honors college, but if she doesnā€™t get the presidential or trustee scholarship I donā€™t think she will attend LMU anyway so why apply to honors? The app is due March 5th according to her letter.

@ACollegeFan No I have not gotten an answer to my question yet. I received my acceptance to LMU 2 weeks ago, and according to the admissions office, you receive a scholarship notification letter about 2 weeks after your admission decision. So Iā€™m gonna wait to see if I get my scholarship letter in the next couple of days, and if not I will call the admissions office and ask them about my dilemma.

anyone know if thereā€™s a groupme of any sort for accepted LMU students yet?

@ashleyucla2021 I applied EA and was sent the same letter asking me to apply to Honors. I later found out that I recieved the Presidential Scholarship, so the letter doesnā€™t mean you wonā€™t recieve Presidential. The Honors application is really long so Iā€™d recommend calling and asking when youā€™ll recieve scholarship notification.

No but there is a Facebook group for accepted/committed students

@bballluvr I just called them, and they said that scholarship notifications will come in early to mid April (which is weird because a couple of weeks ago I called, and they said that scholarship notifications are released within a few weeks of your acceptance). I told them that I was unsure whether or not I should apply to the Honors Program, because there would be no point in doing so if I am a presidential scholar. They just said to apply anyway just in case. ughhh more work for me to do

is anyone still waiting for a response? I havenā€™t heard anything yet.

Iā€™m still waiting too. Hopefully the letters come this week.
