LMU|LA Admitted Students: Class of '17

@anon4321 I thought so too. There’s no way I could apply for EA coz I only started my application process in late November. I sent an email but since it’s holiday season, I won’t get a reply until next year. Also, I did not receive MyLMU account.

Yeah, none of us received a MyLMU account. I guess they got a new system or something and it took forever for them to set it up, so we all had to wait to find out the old fashioned way. I’m sure it’s just a mistake; hopefully you can get everything worked out :)

YAY congratulations to everyone! I’m glad to see people are finally getting their letters! It’s so weird how I got mine back in Thanksgiving.

Hi everyone, for those already accepted do you think I could maybe read one of your supplement essays? I won’t steal I just want an idea of what LMU wants in the writing style! LMU is one of my top choices and am applying RD  PM me, thanks!

My EA application got deferred to regular admission and is going to be reviewed again once they have my first semester of senior year grades. They were good so hopefully I still have a chance. Congrats to everyone else who already got in!

For those of you who have received your acceptance letter, did it come with a scholarship decision?
I got admitted to early action but it did not say anything about financial aid.

Just got my letter! Accepted! With an $8,400 scholarship for 2013/2014 year!
I’m in Texas
2020 SAT
3.75 uw GPA

@kathgwalt my decision came in a big envelope and scholarship came in a separate small envelope.

My scholarship decision came separately. Actually, I haven’t even gotten my official acceptance letter yet, so I was really worried when I went to the mailbox and saw a small envelope.

Deferred…but it was for Film Production, so I’m not feeling to bad.
3.4 UW, 3.7 W, 27 ACT, Tons of EC, good recs and personal statements.

@eschloss I received the same scholarship! 3.84 uw 1810 sat (single sitting)

Does anyone know when, in previous years, EA applicants who where deferred received a decision or when we should expect a decision?

It was awful - my daughter called and I told her it was the small envelope. She told me to open it.
It was great - it was the scholarship letter. So we haven’t received the large envelope yet.
Wow - that was draining and exciting all at the same time.

@colollypop That’s exactly what happened to me!

Finally got my letter!
