My top three dream schools are LMU, Occidental, and Scripps. I’m a senior with a total UW 3.3 and W 4.0. My SAT score is a flat 1500 and I got an 800 on the Biology and Spanish tests. What are my chances of getting into these schools…or do I even stand a chance? I’m curious as to how competitive I am for these schools with my current scores. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!
Your test scores are very competitive, but GPA may be an issue although weighted seems pretty good. Since none of these schools state how they weight their GPA’s for in-coming Freshman, I would look at the average UW GPA for comparison.
LMU:
Average UW GPA: 3.8
SAT range (25th-75th percentile): 1150-1340
Occidental:
Average UW GPA: 3.71
SAT (50th percentile): 1300
Scripps:
Average Weighted GPA: 4.11 (weighting scale not disclosed)
SAT range (25th-75th percentile): 1280-1440
I would say all could be possible but Scripps will probably be a tough admit. Make sure you have some solid essays, EC’s and LOR’s.
