I am a interracial 17 year old female student. My father is arab and my mother is Hispanic.

I have an average GPA, around 2.8. I did not do too well in my freshman and sophmore years. Although I managed to get a 3.6 in junior year. I am hoping to raise my grades even more in senior year and bring it up to a 4, which I am certain I can do since I will be taking two AP's. I am planning to take the SAT in October as I have not taken it in my Junior year (regrettably).

APS:
will be taking human geography
Spanish
and Comparative government and euro history (self study)
all in senior year

A group that I joined in 11th grade and will continue to participate in 12th grade that is a human rights activists group. We have organized numerous and very successful events. Recognized by many political figures in my country.
Interned at an employment program for the homeless in New York during summer of 2013, got amazing recommendation letter from two of the supervisors, commending me on my work ethic, and professionalism. Developed a new system for housing searches which the shelter immensely benefited from.
1 College credit from NYU, in professional development
Award for the best spanish student in Junior year.
Will be able to get a recommendation from my principle since I have worked with her on the student body over the past two years, as wel as my counselor who I am very close to as well.

As you can see I did not get off to a good start but I have been and will be making major improvements.
