LMU vs. Chapman

I know LMU vs. Chapman is a common comparison, but I would like to see what people have to say, based on my post/criteria.
I have been accepted to both, undecided.
Which school is better known/ more prestige?
Which school has a better business, communications, and film program?
How is the social life at each?
Surrounding area?
diversity?
Overall education?
Anything else that would help me make my decision!!!
If you know about one or both of the schools, POST/REPLY!

Hi City, I think YOU are the only one who can make this decision. Have you visited both schools, talked to students and professors, advisors in your intended major?

LMU is a Catholic university and has a strong Catholic feeling. Lots of priests walking around both times we toured. Are you Catholic? If you are seeking a religious school, this might be a good fit.

My son was also accepted at both. He chose Chapman, and is now a sophomore there. He is very happy with his choice; he is a broadcast major in the Dodge College of Film & Media. The program has an excellent reputation and students go on to wonderful internships, and have good job placement. The business school is quite good, too. Son is also happy with social life, and Old Town Orange is adjacent to campus, a real town with a lot going on. He felt the area near LMU was kind of dead; just a couple blocks with a pizza place, etc. Not much happening walking distance from campus. But there is plenty of activity in Old Town Orange.

BUT, we know a couple kids from son’s HS class who did go to LMU, and are very happy there. It’s important to note that both of them were very active in campus ministry in high school, and were seeking to continue that.
