LMU vs UC santa cruz?

I am trying to decide which one to go to. What are the advantages and disadvantages of LMU over santa cruz?

Just from my experience. (Incoming Freshmen, Choosing LMU.)

I was really turned off from UCSC during the summer when I went to a friend’s party there. The campus is so rural, like there is grass and animals everywhere; I personally hate that. The beach is really close though, and it’s one of the best beaches in norcal. Also, they have a really big pothead reputation, not my thing.

LMU, is close to Venice Beach, which I really like. It’s also in LA, which has endless opportunities for everything. I enjoy a more urban and city life atmosphere. It’s also a richer school, not impacted by the government. The buildings are nicer and there is more of a sense of wealth. I also believe that the academics are stronger at LMU, but I don’t know that factually.

It’s up to you though, my decision was based heavily on location. I feel that I can get a good education regardless of the school, but I wanted to be in/near LA, so thats why I picked LMU.

If you provided more information, like where your coming from and what your looking for, I could be more helpful.

ya my main concern is the academic reputation and stuff
