Does the Admissions Board inform the MOC and senators when an appointment has been given? My daughter received her appointment package last week and the nomination boards for the MOC and senators meet next month. She does not know whether she should continue competing for their nomination so USNA can use her Presidential on someone else. She does not want to get an angry call from the MOC's office asking her why she did not have the courtesy to inform them. I would think this would be USNA's responsibility?

^^^^^
The Admissions Office does notify the MOCs when an appointment has been offered to a candidate.

navy2010, i've already had interviews with my Senators (and my application is complete, so no cover letter to send). i'm going to call them tomorrow to confirm that they have a copy of the LOA, this will probably be my last contact with them before they make their decisions. should i mention those things (medical qualification and file completeness) as a side note or not at all?

^^^as long as you are calling, then mention that you have been medically qualified. As for the file completeness, leave it out- it is a "given." If you have not already done so, send a thank you note---- most won't bother, but you should!!!

Best of luck!

yeah, i already sent a thank you note after my interviews
thanks for all the advice!
when i called, the woman who's in charge of the selection committee actually asked if it was a "fully qualified" LOA (she had seen on the web database that i got the LOA but her office hadn't received a copy) and i explained to her that i had met all the requirements that were listed in the letter.
