Hi I am a rising senior in Mechanical Engineering. I also work 30 hours a week and I'm a single father. (I know, its been an uphill battle) I applied for and received a great opportunity to work for another company for 3 months as an intern. The two things that matter for new engineering graduates are the GPA and experience. I will no doubt take this offer.
My dilemma is that i need to somehow complete my internship for the summer than return back to my job once it is over. Company policy will not allow me to take a leave of absence solely to work for another company. How can I ethically define this opportunity to qualify for a Leave of absence?
