I never received an LOA but I just got a call two days ago that I received Senator Lieberman's Appointment

class of 2012!

^^^^
Congrats USNACAND22...hopefully i will get my appointment and see you at Annapolis on I-Day...

midshipman2012: Stay positive. You have great credentials. Being a Team Captain is a big plus, especially twice.

thanks, grad/dad...I'm trying to keep my spirits up and my hopes alive in this long waiting period to hear back from the Academy...just gotta keep on keepin on and stay busy....

wow, somebody talk to me here

well militarypays it looks to me like you are qualified to get in but maybe not recieve an LOA- it prob. depends on how early your application was done in your case ( I think that sometimes this has made a difference). The places that I see for improvement would be your SAT scores as well as possibly a lack of leadership? I dunno however, I'm not exactly an expert- I'm just chipping in because you seemed like you really wanted some comments ( see your post above) Good Luck!

Militarypays,
Looking at your stats they look pretty competitive and very similar to mine. Since you just completed your file on Dec. 9 admissions probably hasn't looked at your file yet. Congrats on the nomination and hang in there.

thanks for the cc (constructive criticism). I appreciate the honesty. I actually updated the naval academy on a few things to make me very competitive:

Link Crew (leadership) this orients freshmen to the school year round.

Certified Lifeguard

Just added converstaional spanish (college) and added my summer Chinese course (college)

This hopefully should be the push to get me in.

Please commment!
