<p>The subsidized Perkins and Stafford loans are a good value interest-rate-wise, and don't require repayment until after you've graduated or left school. Work study is a good opportunity to work to defray college miscellaneous costs, and work study income won't hurt you on next year's financial aid apps (like outside work can). And to get a job on your resume-- typically these are on campus or near campus, and very flexible to your class schedule.</p>
<p>The Plus loan is for the parents, to help with the EFC. If they have a home equity line or other assets to cover the EFC, they might want to consider them instead of the Plus.</p>
