Lobbying

Wondering if anyone has any exeprience with lobying? Genearally how would you get started in the industry? What is the starting pay like coming out of college? How hard is it to get a lobbying job out of college?

Or starting on the hill. What would the entry level pay be? How long do people usually stay on the hill before moving downtown?

How do the two jobs differ? What kind of work would you be doing at a lobying firm? What kind of hours?

Thanks.

From what I have heard, it varies according to your experience/degrees. If you have a law degree from a top 25 school and/or signifigant experience on the Hill (several years, and not as some entry-level lackey) you have a good chance at securing a lobbying job. Definitely not a sure thing.

i agree with exonian, i heard you need good experiance on capitol Hill, say being a former house of reps. or senator, and know alot of people on the Hill, (and if you have that, i dont think you need a HS diploma)
