WFU is my clear first choice, but I didn't apply ED b/c my parents wanted to compare financial aid with other schools. I've interviewed via Skype and I feel pretty good about my application, but I was wondering if geographic diversity would help in being admitted? I'm the only person from my very large, nationally recognized public high school in Northern California, and I know that no one in the neighboring towns are applying. Will this be an advantage to be the only person applying from my area or will it not make a difference?

I think it might help. I get the sense that Wake is making an effort to draw quality students from around the country. What will really help is if you are a high performing student with good grades and test scores who can’t wait to jump into a rigorous liberal arts education.

Being from Northern California will definitely help you in the admissions process, as Wake is always trying to expand our reach into parts of the country we aren’t usually seen. This will help you. Good luck!
