Ann Arbor is a very nice city. It's just outside of the metro Detroit area. Probably a 1-1.5 hour drive to the Palace. It's pretty far northeast of Ann Arbor.

Ann Arbor is a pretty cool college town. It's diverse when it comes to people and places to eat. If you have never done it before, try hookah/sheesha. There's this one Mediterranean cafe (I can't remember the name) and upstairs is where is where you go.

45-50 minutes from the Palace if you drive like most of us do. It's really not that far.

45 minutes is probably closer. I was just thinking from Ann Arbor to my house, then from my house to the Palace. I'm sure it's less time going straight there.

The campus is large, impressive and quite nice, although not the prittiest. It is also quite spread out and well compartmentalized. As such, the University seems smaller than it really is. The art and music events on campus are unbelievable, as are the sporting events. And the venues that hold those events are equally as amazing, from the Football Team's Big House (the largest stadium in the US) to the Hill Auditorium (one of the most accoustically perfect music Halls in the World). The University hospital, one of the nation's top 10 hospitals, is impressive and the Law quad is gorgeous.

Ann Arbor is quite possibly one of the nicest cities I have been to, and I have been around! I would move to Ann Arbor in a heartbeat. Everything from its cosmopolitan, educated and friendly residents to the multitude of international restaurants to its quaint little streets to the innumerable cafes and bookstores make Ann Abor the perfect college town. Of course, Ann Arbor is equipped with everything you could possibly imagine, from movies theatres showing both popular and more obscure and artsy movies to big department stores to a major Amtrak train station that connects Detroit to Chicago and everything else you could possibly want. Add to this the proximity of a major city like Detroit and all the amenities than come with it (international airport with direct flights to every major US and European city, incredible music and art venues, bustling nightlife, amazing malls etc...) and you have one convenient location!

As far as the Palace, it is roughly a 45-60 minute drive, depending on traffic and the way you drive. But why go to the Palace when Ann Arbor has its very own Yost?! hehe!!! Nothing beats Michigan hockey baby!!!

Yeah, its 45-50 minutes to the palace.

Take m14 east, 275 north, 696 east, 75 north, you get the idea.
