hi. I was recently admitted into lock haven 5 year pa program and Wagner 5 year pa program, and am between the two schools. lock haven is in lock haven, pa (30 min from penn state) and Wagner college is in Staten Island, New York. The programs are very different from Each other. At lock haven, it’s a 3 plus 2 program which means 3 years undergraduate and 2 years of the graduate portion and the PROGTAM begins you’re freshman year. In order to stay in the PROGTAM, you need to have a 3.2 gpa and take GRE and get a minimum of 520 ( I think I need to check that again) and during the summers they prefer you to go home. At Wagner, it’s a 2 plus 3 program which is 2 years undergraduate where you can get a real life college experience and then 3 years of the graduate portion. After you’re SOPHMORE year, Wagner wants you to stay there during the summer. Through wagners program, they don’t have to take the GREs but have to maintain the same gpa. As well, the pa students go on medical mission trips in the graduate portion to London, Guatemala, and Peru. With lock haven, trips are through the honors college ( which I interviewd for and waiting back) and certain clubs. If you have any information of these schools and PROGRAKS please comment below.
