locks for lappys onto desk

i visited my dorm and my tour guide person was talking about like locks for lappys that hook up to the desk. anyone know where to find these?

Staples!!!!!

Pretty much anywhere where computer accessories are sold.

Laptop locks have been dicussed on this forum for the last couple of years. For a determined thief, a Bic pen jammed into a cylinder style lock will open it... A combination lock can be picked by using a toilet paper roll or a slim piece of plastic to figure out the combination.

The best defense is to keep an eye on your laptop and to lock your dorm room door.

Hint: use the search function before posting...

If you have a closet, get a lock for your closet. Then when you leave, stick your computer in your closet and lock it.

An idea that I heard that's very useful. :)

Better yet, put it in an unassuming backpack.

You can get a combo laptop lock. That will be harder to crack. TBH if someone had the time to crack a combo lock the laptop would be gone one way or another. However combo locks generally take longer and would look more obvious if someone is doing it in the library. In the dorms the door lock is your best bet.
