Does anybody have any information regarding lofting your bed at MSU?
Is there a website I can go to and look at?
Do students sell their lofts at the end of the year?
Any info and/or pictures is greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Make sure you know MSU’s rules about putting up loft beds.

“Do students sell their lofts at the end of the year?”

Not really…generally they take them apart and put the scrap pieces of wood in the recyling containers outside every res. hall

The people who lived in my room the year before me gave me the wood for the loft…

I saw online the rules for lofting your bed, but had a question…
I’m not crazy about having my bed that high up-though I wouldn’t mind it raised a little for some extra under the bed storage. Is that an option to do instead of the sky high loft?

^ It was at least in Sny-Phi. There were a few levels you could raise it to. I’m not exactly sure if it works the same in all the dorms.

How high to the lofted beds raise to? High enough for a futon?

^ Oh yeah. Absolutely. I had a futon under my bed. I am 6 feet tall and I could almost stand underneath the lofts.

Yeah-I didn’t want to raise it all the way to the ceiling-I just want it up a few inches for storage underneath. I think I can just get a raiser to lift the frame up.

I have seen 4 dorms and all seem to have beds that could be raised. You should wait until after you see your room before buying anything to lift the bed. Some rooms with modular furniture can be put so high that the desk and chair can go under the beds.
