Log-In

Not sure how necessary this thread is. If it’s pointless, we can always let it die :)

Basically post here if you still haven’t gotten your log-in password as of 11/13.

I guess this thread is just for us to keep track of what’s happening, so that we know when to be concerned or calm down?

I’ll start.

11/13 no login

I got mine last Thursday

No log in.

Still nothing for me.

Please calm down. Someone freaks out about this every year, and either they have received it (check your spam box!!), or they get it soon. Brown’s currently inundated with pieces of application material, and it takes them time to get through all of it. It’ll be fine.

i’m freaking out. STILL NO USER ID. they said they’d send it the week of November 4th. shouldn’t they send a follow up email or something?

Go ahead and call them on Monday, just to make sure. But first, check your spam inbox.

It is 11/17 and I still don’t have the ID log-in info. I checked every nook an cranny of my spam inbox. Should I contact Brown yet? Through email or phone call?

Yeah, call and check in tomorrow, just to make sure.

I still have not received any login information, but my interviewer said not to worry because they would have called by now if any materials were missing. I think I will wait to the end of the week to call Brown about it.

Sorry, but that’s insane. The admissions office can barely keep up with incoming phone calls - does he honestly think they have time to make personal telephone calls to each and every applicant whose application isn’t complete?

I appreciate your patience, but I’d probably suggest contacting Brown sometime sooner than the end of the week. If something is missing, you want to have time to get it there before it’s too late.

Thank you for the suggestion. I was kindly given the same advice last night so I decided to call this morning, and it was very easy. You don’t call the admissions office, you call the Brown Computing Accounts and Passwords Office. After verifying your identity with a few questions, they will tell you your username and email you the passkey to create an account. It only takes five minutes. I suggest any of you that haven’t received login information call today or tomorrow. Good luck to everyone else applying.

^^^ This may be one of the most useful posts I’ve ever seen on CC! Thanks, gounited!
