I’m applying this coming year, and I was just curious about how exactly you see a college’s decision about you. I’ve heard mentions of logging in and seeing it but also of getting a letter in the mail. Can anyone enlighten me as to the logistics of finding out college decisions? Thanks!
It varies by college. Many have some kind of portal you log onto to check. They will provide an ID and password info after your app is received. It can take s little while (a week or more sometimes) to get that info, usually emailed to you. Often you can also see if they have all pieces of your app, too. And… some colleges send good old fashioned snail mail instead.
For most schools, you log onto their website to see the decision. For some schools like Stanford, they send you an email directly.
