lol...I'm not going to lie...as soon as I got my UGA email account I registered for Facebook (and so did 200+ other future UGA students)...but do you think you should be on facebook before you actually start attending class?

haha, I'm class of 2011! It's a tad lonely on Facebook because I don't many very many people, but I think it will be better by this time next year!:)

I'm holding off for now, esp, considering the fact that I'm going out of state, and can't name one person I know from there.

Well, it'd be a nice way to "meet" people before you actually get there

There are 7th graders on facebook.

i believe the OP means on the original, college facebook

Yea, high school facebook, terrible idea.

bluthunder I did the same thing now I'm obsessed with it

Since I'm going out of state, the first thing I did was make a facebook. I'm going to a relatively small school where there are VERY few people from my state (none of whom I know) so it's really important for me to meet people. I've made some pretty good friends.

Facebook and Myspace are soooo lame.

i think facebook was a good idea, but like anything else that becomes popular, the makers try and make more options to go along with it and we turn out with things like high school facebook and such. Now its just getting lame

I got one after getting my college e-mail address. I still don't see the point of adding a bunch of 'friends' before you actually get to campus, because chances are you probably won't even meet many of them amongst the 2000 or so people from your class.

High school facebook is not the same thing as college facebook and will never be; I don't care if the sites are integrated now...

Yeah high school face book is the WORST idea in the entire world. Freshman, sophmores, juniors and especially seniors who think they are SO high and mighty think that just because high school and college face book are intergrated now that they are just "so cool". Its like when little kids play dress up in their parents clothes because it makes them feel grown up. I didnt even HEAR about face book until I was in college.

It really has turned into some kind of weird cult with college students. I have friends (as well as my own sister) who have openly admitted that the first thing they do in the morning is wake up do whatever it is they usually do and then check their face book. My sister will stay on face book for 45min. sometimes Its so sad. :(
