lol i have no hope of getting in...

I guess thats what makes it all the more fun on the 29th anyone else feeling like this :-p?

Neither do I. This is why it sucks. Right up to the moment when you click and see your decision, it's painfully anxious but bearable--because you don't know, you may have gotten in. But once you click it's done, forever, over.

That's what I thought on Dec. 15, either accept or reject. But guess what, what did I get.... DEFERRED! (Better than being rejected though!) Yesssss!

I was deferred, too. I've come to accept the cold reality that awaits me, though some part of me clings onto a ludicrous hope... o the bitter agony

aaah...I felt exactly the same way, but I can tell you that it means nothing! You can be accepted, waitlisted, or rejected, unfortunately. It's completely normal! :)

I think my son feels that way, too -- he's so focused on schools he actually will probably get into that he just feels giddy and silly about Stanford.

I hate that feeling when you click. Worst feeling ever -- I hate doing for grades, SATs, Colleges etc... it's such a bad sinking feeling.

I have the same feeling..but we should not give up hope!
JUST HAVE A LITTLE FAITH!!!

I prepared myself for a rejection and was kind of underwhelmed when I was accepted. I was kind of like "eh..ok, then"

^Lol no risk of that happening in my situation (I'm def. not getting accepted...even if I were to get accepted, I would NOT be underwhelmed lol!!!)

I thought Stanford releases on the 30th???

Er, it does...this Friday. 3pm Pacific time.

Anyone here who got rejected from all the ivies they applied to and are still holding out hope for Stanford?

I am, in a half-hearted sort of way. (So far I'm four out of five for rejections, including at some places less selective than Stanford, but on the other hand Caltech didn't hate me. ;))

harvard: rejected
princeton: rejected
yale: rejected
brown: WLed
columbia: Wled
berkeley (out of state): accepted
u chicago: accepted
rice: accepted
NYU: accepted
duke: accepted

goo STanford, I'm scared though

Don't be scared! Stanford is different and SO MUCH BETTER! Congratulations on all your acceptances. They are truly impressive, I mean it!

I didn't get rejected from the Ivies I applied to but Stanford is still my number one! The Ivies were always 2nd :) I'm hoping for the best for all of us today.

bawl

jimbob....share the wealth!

Oh, and Noldo, one of my friends was fine about his Caltech rejection till he found out that a girl gasp had got in ahead of him (MCP much?)....he then spent the evening reading your blog (and making me read random snippets, inducing some severe intimidation might I add) and obsessing. Jus' saying. :)

:) Good luck. 4 hours till Stanford!!!

jimbob, where all were you accepted yesterday?

I have no chance of getting into Stanford, yet it's all I'm thinking about today. x(
