So I have a bit of an unusual case, but I'd like to know where I stand. I went to a small private school freshman year, then transferred to Georgetown.

Freshman year I had a 3.9, then a semester with a 2.27 GPA and a 3.5ish this semester. Next semester it will vary, but overall I should have a 4.0 in my major GPA. I am an International Business/Finance majors and Economics minor. Yet, my cumulative will only be a 3.0-3.2 due to the bad semester (adjusting to a top university I guess, I'm catching up).

This summer there is a good chance I will be working in Global Wealth Management in DC for Merrill Lynch through an acquaintance. In addition, I am an Econ Research Assistant and do iphone applications for my sisters company. Spring 2012 I'll be in Spain studying and summer 2012 I would love to work in London in possibly investment banking for Merrill Lynch.

Would I stand a chance? If not, are there other options to work in London given my background? My whole dilemma is cash. While abroad, I want to travel as much as possible on weekends, etc. Some kind of paid internship in finance would be ideal to save money. Does anyone have suggestions? Thank You.
