I got a 690 on the SAT math section, but a 750 in critical reading and a 790 in writing. I have no intention whatsoever to major in math or anything related to math. Since i am perfectly content with my other scores, should i bother taking the SAT to bring up my math? (I am applying to some very elite colleges)

Note: I am neither Hispanic, nor a girl. I titled my thread "Lonely Senorita seeks SAT answer" because i could.

Well, on the old scale, you only have a 1440, so it depends on the schools you are applying to. So tell us which ones you're applying to...

if your trying to get into ivy, try to bring up your mat SAT score. plus it getting not ivy is not solely based on your SAT, there are many factors involved

Competitive schools im applying to: Northwestern, Uchicago, Penn, Brown, Dartmouth

i would say a 690 is fine, its only ten points from the "700-800 range" that colleges like. if in the end you do decide to retake, i would say send the scores in before you retake and see if you would benefit by sending in the new scores.
