Thank you anyone who takes time to help me! And any suggestions input is greatly appreciated.

Having published books will definitely make you stand out in the applicant pool! Your scores/GPA are a little bit on the lower side for some of the schools, but your ECs and your being published will help you a lot I think.

Thanks bro! Anyone else have some input?

That is so awesome that you have works published ! What exactly did u wrote about and through who did u get the book published?

Well it’s fantasy(dragons, magic, etc) haha I’m in love with making my own world and stuff. Also I got it published it through Outskirts Press, but I’m really wondering if it may help my chances at these schools??

Bump bump bumpity bump bump

Bump bump bump

I’m just going to keep bumping…

Come on, someone please chance a few schools at least

Please gimme some chances

Please chance me!

Chance me guys!!

Not sure about Berkeley or Duke, but a good chance at the others. You might qualify for merit scholarships as well.

What helps you is the rigor of your course load (APs, etc), Recommendations, Essays, and Extracurriculars.

What hurts you are: Test Scores, Rank, ethnicity (don’t mention Asian. It kinda hurts because they’re over-represented, especially at UCs).

Since admissions can be so random, I would definitely encourage you to go for it. Good luck!

PS - chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1407492-chance-me-cornell-penn-etc-2280-a.html#post14971620</a></p>

Why so many schools, do you know if you’d even fit in at all of them? And don’t keep on bumping, if no one has something to say, let it die. You’d probably be fine with all of those places.

Reach (match if you’re in state…but their acceptance rate for oos is just above some of the ivies, about 20%)

Big Reach (to be competitive at Duke, even as a published author (I’m betting about 1/6 I their students are published authors) you need at least a 32 on your ACT)

You have stellar chances of getting into all of those universities including Duke because of of your awesome extra curriculars. It is really amazing that you had your work published.

Chance me
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1407523-how-my-chances-pepperdine-ucsb-uci-cal-poly-slo-university-miami.html</a></p>

Thank you guys for some actual matches, I really appreciate it! And yes, Crimson, I did heavy research and I believe I would fit into all of them! Some more than others, but I am without a doubt an extremely lenient person who could fit into most environments as long as they are somewhat open-minded and big ya goof. Oh and Duke is a parent-pleaser haha

Anyone else wanna chance? :)

Any other chancers?
