Long paragraph

I am writing my UC essay and although I have attempted to shorten the introduction it's about thirteen sentences (slightly more) in expanse. If I break it into two paragraphs then my thesis would be in the latter. Should I just keep it, as one long paragraph?

It depends on how fluid it makes the essay. It's generally better to avoid having long paragraphs because adcoms read a ton of these things, and to follow the track of a 13 sentence paragraph may not make them too happy (on the UC essay tutorial, it said the 600 essay should have around 6 paragraphs anyway... they're real sticklers for traditional essay writing...).

It's all contextual though. If you PM me the essay, I could give better advice.

Well, length don't matter, it is all about the contents of your essay. You don't need to have a formal intro or conclusion- just write as if you were talking to them...:D

Thanks, I am just finishing my essay, so I'll send it to you Schitz when I have completed it.
