Long Sheets for Dorm bed?

The other deal is a better value, and it is quality stuff. I did not say that I got a better deal at target.

Thanks, just making sure.

My parents are ordering only the basic bedding stuff (sheets, comforter, pillow, and blanket) only since we don't have to worry about hauling that stuff on a 5 hr. plane ride or looking at stores in LA at the last minute. Those items would be waiting at USC when I get there in August.

Other essentials (like towel, laundry hamper) I will haul those in my suitcase. Everything else on that website is a rip-off to me. (Egg-crate mattress pad? Please, give me a break)

redski59, did you get the Student Starter Pak? That one includes everything you mentioned but also towels and a quilted mattress pad. I may get that package and then bring an extra pillow and buy a laundry hamper separately. Yeah, I don't see much of a use for an egg-crate mattress pad.

protokurios, actually I did get the student starter pack. I thought the towels and mattress pad weren't a part of it until after I went back and looked at the sheet. I guess I won't be bringing towels with me then. The quilted mattress pad seems fine for me, and IMHO the egg-crate seems to be a gimmicky luxury item.

Yeah, I think the quilted mattress pad will help cushion the bed a bit. Not sure how the mattresses are in the dorms, but I would expect that they aren't of the best quality and comfort.

Any department store carries extra-long twin fitted sheets. The regular twin flat sheets fit fine for the top sheet. I definitely want some kind of egg-crate mattress pad. I stayed in the dorms at Stanford last summer for two months and the mattresses were definitely less than comfy. But you can definitely find everything you need at any department store. Macy's, Bloomingdale's,Target, Sears, where ever, will have what you need. You definitely don't need to special order them from that company. I mean, if you really want to, go ahead, but you definitely don't NEED to.

man...i got that packet too....its such a rip off....anyone else gonna be picking up some trojan shirts and stuff at orientation? haha

Well, as I said before, for someone who has to haul themselves and their stuff from one end of the country to the other, this is a great convenience. The prices are about the same as my local dept. stores anyway.
