I really don’t know where to start, but I started college in 2005 -2007 and in that period of time I took a specific math class which I failed 3 time the same class. after 2007 I dropped out of school until I decided to come back last year in fall 2014, but now that is Summer 2015 I was trying to retake that one class from 2005 and I can’t anymore because the Dean of the Math department said that in 2012 or 2013 California passed a law that you can’t retake a class more than 3 times. But I told her that in 2005 that law didn’t exist in the college, and she said that because I dropped out college for more then 2 years those laws don’t protect me anymore. So now I decided not to take that class in another college but I decided to audit the class to get the learning and retake the assessment test and hopefully I can skip that class for the fall. Is there a law in California protects me or that says otherwise, or if they can delete a class from 2005 or anything? I really need some kind of help.
