I hate asking the “*** do I do at Princeton?” question again, but I believe my case is sufficiently differentiated from the others to ask. I’ll be staying with a Princeton freshman from Wednesday afternoon through Sunday afternoon (interspersed with a day trip to New York/Columbia).

My questions are these:
- What should I see/do during the 3-4 days I’ll be at Princeton?

Though I’m normally good with directions, Princeton’s “Getting There” page manages to confuse me. How would I best get from Newark to Princeton and back?

What can I do in New York? Part of me wants to go to some concert or something…

Thanks for your help. I hope I didn’t appear too “out of it” to go to Princeton :)

I'm going around Thursday or Friday. Might seeya there!

What are you interested in?

Re getting there, if you are flying into Newark you can take a train right from the airport to the Princeton Junction station. Then take the Dinky (a smaller train) directly to the Princeton campus.

or take the airporter from Newark airport.

Thanks for your replies so far--tentatively, I want to major in molecular biology in connection with the pre-med advising track. Thanks, aparent and sucharita, for clearing up directions for me.

I'm sure that your hosts will point you in the right direction while on campus. What residential college are you staying in?

i wish i could tell you but, even though i'm leaving tomorrow morning, i don't even know the name of my host =-O
all i know is that he's a freshman, and i think he's a math major

How did you arrange to stay with someone you don't know? I didn't think Princeton had an overnight program for high school seniors.

I would definitely advise sitting in on a couple of classes. After all, that's why you're going to college, right?

My host is good friends with a friend of mine (who left for PT Tuesday afternoon).

NJ Turnpike -> Rt. 1 -> princeton exit at hamilton ave, washington road, or alexander road will take you right into campus.

Thanks for your help, my visit was excellent and solidified my decision to apply early :)
