Longest Car Ride?

So what's the longest car ride you guys have taken? I think mine was 8 hours going to Canada. It was pretty boring all I did was listen to my iPod and sleep the entire time. My dad drove the entire time, I don't know how he did it, lol, honestly I don't have the attention span to drive that long ( we took one half an hour break )

I'm only making this thread right now because I'm on my way back home from Virginia, the GPS says 4 1/2 hours, but its likely to be about 6 because of traffic. I'm really bored everyone is already sleeping except for my dad (who's driving).

Blahhhhh ! I hope my crackberry doesn't die on me.

That’s a bummer:/ I think my longest was when my family and I drove down to LA. That was about a 6 hour car drive. It wasn’t too bad though, I had my phone, Ipod, and a dvd player:)

10 hours to Florida

I love the change in scenery though. I like when we get to the southern part Georgia.

You’ll be fine until you get to Delaware. Then LOL @ you. 15 mile stretch. Double toll. And eternal construction. Always a nightmare. At this time of night take 295 through the tunnel instead of 95 between D.C. and Baltimore. They’re doing some construction on 95 around Columbia, MD so you probably want to avoid that.

My longest drive has been 3 trips to Myrtle Beach. Like 8 hours. Driving to Boston was also around 7.5 to 8. I can’t imagine people that drive to Florida. I could never stay in a car for that long.

I remember driving from San Francisco to Oxnard. It was like 7 hours. But we drove south on route 1 the whole way. Awesomeness.

I’m in Baltimore now ! Haha, Virginia was full of trees.

My longest was 8 hours from Upstate New York down to Philidelphia. I finished two Harry Potter books (6 and 7) since I didn’t have an iPod at the time.

You didn’t have a headache? I can’t read during car rides, atleast nothing novel-length.

I wish I had my ipod/iphone right now. I broke both of them. And there is like no good food in this car.

Somewhere between 12-14 hours. Yeah, my family’s either crazy or ambitious.

Like 12 hours, several 7 hour trips to Virginia. My family drives all over the place, including Miami.

Good luck Smiley lol, at least is it comfortable in the car? I hate it when my legs are cramped on long car rides :(

San Diego to Seattle in 3 days. I was in 6th grade at the time…

About 8 hours home from upper Vermont. There was a storm, too, and the air conditioner was broken so we couldn’t close the windows. Fun ride.

17 hours (18+ with breaks) from NJ to FL. We’ve also driven to Kansas City, MO, but I was really young and don’t remember it.

Just got back from eating tacobell in maryland ! About two hours til I get home.

I actually have the whole third row to myself (sequoia) so its not that bad. I have a pillow and blanket so its good too.

I don’t think I’d survive a 12 hour trip! A lot of people around me drive down to florida, I think its like a days drive. The three times I’ve been there I’ve flown.

I can’t do that.

Although with an overnight, the longest drive I’ve ever been a part of was 1.5 days, because the car broke down. It was to Montreal.

I always just get cramped. My muscles get tight and my nose gets clogged. Fresh air please.

Pretty much all I do on long rides is use the iphone. Music + internet. I don’t know what I’d do without it. I can’t read because I get headaches and I can’t sleep well cause I can never get comfortable.

Atlanta - El Paso, TX… Non-stop.

lolololol

That’s horrendous. The stretch from Dallas to El Paso must have literally been Hell.

13 hours… drove half of the time.

Yesss I’m in jersey! On the turnpike probably around 45 or so minutes 'til I get home. Hardly any traffic!

Luckily I got the third row to my self this time, but getting to Virginia I was in the second row with a baby seat and my aunt! I slept the whole ride but my neck hurt like a **** when I woke up!

Anyone ever do a roadtrip with their friends? Mine have ALL been with my family, which cool I guess but I’d be willing to drive cross-country to either florida or california with my friends, considering we all took turns driving of course.
