Look! All AP Calculus BC course takers!

What is your text book?

I'm gonna study cal bc myself but I wonder which book should use..

Barron's is too less stuff..

please tell me..and also your opinion for book..

bump----------------

well i took it last year, and we used stewart's single variable calculus

Thanks imiracle! any others?

-------------bump----------

I never use the textbook, so I don't have a clue as to what it's called. I'd recommend Schaum's Outline for Calculus or the Princeton Review.

I self studied it last year while taking precalc. Don't use a text book, use prep books. I used Arcos and Barrons. Read Arcos, and do every damn problem in barrons until you get them right. Then time yourself and do all the FR questions from previous years. Then study the answer key, not the student solutions, to train yourself to answer exactly what you need to, not extra BS on the AP Exam.

thanks sagar~

Oh jeez I don't remember... I never take it home with me... umm... It's blue and says calculus on it? does that help haaha

I have 3 textbooks for my Calc BC course.

I use Stewart for AB. My teacher says it's confusing when explaining things. I wouldn't know, though, since I only use it to review formulas and major principles once in a while.

Thanks~ I think I have to use stewart, barrons and acro

paul forrester for bc calc
it's v. easy to understand

Thanks~unefleursauvage

also have a question....sorry for barging in like this...but since this is a thread about maths... I have a question...a pretty weird one...[sorry for that :o ] uhm....here in Romania we don't do much research, our educational system is based on learning theory...so I was just wondering... could someone give me an example of a topic for a math-based project? what does it consist of?
sorry again for asking this, I'm a little ashamed, but I'm not used to anything but solving math problems from competitions and stuff... could you please help me... :D thanks a lot!

We use Finney, Demana, Waits, and Kennedy. VERY easy to understand. Our school had a 100% passing rate last year, so I guess it works.

Go to your local university, see what books they use, and it should be VERY easy and cheap to get used books, solution manuals, and study guides. We use Stewarts Transcendentals, so it is very easy to find all the supplemental meterials.

thanks~---------so XRedcomet, you use 4 books? oh my god.

and vu_preuss..so I can get some materials from community college or something? how? just go to math department and say give me some materials?

Haha I doubt they'd give you materials. You CAN go to a textbook store and get them for dirt cheap with all the study guides used. Also, most universities have their old midterms and lecture notes online, so you can go by that too.

thanks again preuss~
