Look over my college list

Caucasian Male

College list:
Harvard
MIT
Yale
Princeton
Stanford
Columbia
John Hopkins
Northwestern
Duke

What should I add? I'm looking for one more match and a safety.

Good safeties:

Trinity (CT)–also tends to give out good merit aid; I had weaker stats and got a full ride.
Syracuse
UMichigan–but don’t expect much aid

Matches:
Tufts
Vanderbilt

Other, similar reaches:
UChicago
Cornell (Low reach)

You may have already realized this, and I don’t mean to undermine your great record, but all of the schools you have listed are either reaches or very high matches, especially because you are an international.

In order to give you better advice, we need to know what specific topics you’re interested in. I assume you like the sciences based on your publications, but what specifically?

Agree, you have no “matches” on the list. Northwestern and JHU fall in the low reach category. Do you need financial aid? Then they are all reaches…

Every American school will be a high reach because the amount of space of int’l students is so limited. If you apply for aid, that would decrease your chances at admissions too. There are only 6 need blind colleges in America that will meet full need. There are only three on your list (Harvard, MIT, and I think Stanford)
