I'm currently enrolled at a Public Magnet School in Austin, TX, and in my Junior year. My GPA is around 4.1 Weighted.

SAT: 2050
BC-Calc: 5
Micro-Econ: 4
Macro-Econ: 5
English III: 4
French IV: 4

Junior year I also took Comp Sci, Philosophy, and Physics, all weighted. As well, I took APUSH at the local community college. Next year my schedule is:

AP Stats
AP English IV
AP French V
AP Physics B
AP Government
Bio Technology (4 hours college cred)
Contemporary Issues
Astronomy
Off Period

For extra-curriculars, I have:

French Club 2 years

Golf Team 2 years

250 Hours of community service, at the animal shelter, adopting out cats, rescuing cats, food bank, and meals on wheels. (last 2 years)

I'm hoping that the focus in community service and my rigorous course load, as well as Magnet Certification will make up for my exceedingly weak ECs. For a college, I'm looking for a small LAC, somewhere with nice weather, that offers majors along the lines of Physics, Chemistry, and Math. A Pharm program straight out of HS would be perfect. Colleges that I've been looking at so far are Davidson and Pitzer, as ultimate reach schools. If someone could tell me what my chances are for those, that would be amazing!

Thank you in advance!

Pitzer is not a reach. It’s a match. CMK/Pomona would be a reach.

Davidson is a reach.

It’s hard to find an LAC with nice weather, as most are in the Northern part of the country. What size school do you want? Are you willing to go slightly north to the midwest? If so, you should consider Grinnell and maybe even Wash U.

Wow, I was Pitzer to be a reach. Aren’t ECs more important than scores? As far as school size goes, I’d prefer something small. Class size is preferably 200-1000, with the faculty to student ratio being very low. I like to bike, so I’d prefer a place with little to no snow. Hence Davidson and Pitzer. I’d love to go to Pomona, but I thought that it was way out of my league. I’ll look into Grennell and WashU. Thank you!

EDIT: Forgot to mention, due to my high school being incredibly competitive (90% of our BC Class got a 5 for instance), I’m rank 80/200. I don’t know how that will affect anything though, as it’s a stupid measure in the first place.

Get your SAT scores up to 2100+ and you’ll have a good shot at washu and grinnell. Maybe you should consider Vanderbilt and Emory as well, but they are a bit bigger. Rice also may be an option as well if you can get your scores up. Sorry if it seems like I’m giving you reaches, but I really think you’d have a hot if your scores were a little higher
