Wont…

I can practically promise you…if you apply to Bama very soon (the app is online) you will get in…and you’d have that acceptance IN HAND within a FEW WEEKS!!! Seriously, I can practically promise you that if what you’ve provided is true and you have the req’d hs school courses (the math, English, sciences, etc).

So, what are you waiting for?
http://gobama.ua.edu/

Haha, I really thank you for the encouragement. Should I just apply now without retaking the SAT and ACT?

Yes…just apply. Seriously, Bama has very lenient admissions this early in the rolling app season. Once the app season gets underway, then things can tighten up.

Even if Bama thought that your current scores are too low, they wouldn’t reject you. They would wait until next spring to give you lots of time to bring up your scores.

Apply now…and in a few weeks, we’ll change your name to Willgetin.

Haha!!! Thank you so much!!! I will try to apply tomorrow!

Ok, so do you guys think it would still be worth it to go to University of Alabama without a merit scholarship, because there is probably no way I can get one…

did you check uab’s scholarships? total oos cost is about 28K (then subtract merit aid)

Try out UC Irvine-- young school that’s number one in the nation under 50 years old (and some ranking internationally, can’t remember). If you’re really committed to REALLY learning (i.e. not slacking off, expecting hard work, etc.), I say apply as a reach. It’s not an exact match, but worst case scenario try to appeal. I know a few people with your stats that tried that route and some made it through that way.

I would apply to Alabama, but also apply to the University of California colleges that interest you. UC actively recruits URM applicants and may give you some slack on your scores especially if you are a first generation applicant and/or write a great essay. Good luck!
