Looking for a strong Foreign Service/International Relations Program

So, I'm looking for a strong Foreign Service/International Relations Program. I want to pursue a career in intelligence (CIA/NSA/DoD, etc) and I am looking to transfer into a program at a good 4-year university. More details on my academic status are included here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/1060537-chance-me-vanderbilt-wake-forest-emory-more-cue-transfer-angst-d.html

Anyway, these are the schools that I am considering for transfer:

Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service - Georgetown University

Elliott School of International Affairs - The George Washington University

School of International Service - American University

The International Relations Program - Tufts University

International Studies Department - Macalester College

International Relations Department - Vanderbilt University

PLEASE don't list any Ivy's or mega selective LAC's. I'm trying to make a realistic list. Much thanks to all that reply.

What is your question? You already have a very good list with some of the best programs in the country.

Well, SFS is about Ivy level selectivity.

I am wondering if there are any other programs that I should be looking at. I doubt I will get into SFS because it is quite selective and though I have a 4.0, I have seen transfer threads of people who have a number of internships and study abroad. How can I compete?

You have a good shot at getting into GW and American.

Thank you, I’m definitely hoping on it.

Vanderbilt doesn’t have a major in International Relations. IR is a subfield in political science.

Look at the Jackson School at the U of Washington. UW also has a strong Middle East program.

Also, look at the Dept of IR at Boston U.

Right, thanks.

UW was originally on my list but I had to take it down because I realized I wouldn’t get much aid because it’s a public out-of-state.

I’ve add BU to my list.

Check the member schools of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs.
