I'm a junior in high school and I really want to do a residential photography program this summer (hopefully about 4 weeks long). I've done alot of photography and i'd prefer something advanced and definitely involving film photography.

I've looked at NYU tisch, Parsons, Pratt, RISD, MIAD, Putney School, Prague Summer Programs....I just don't know if I have a chance at getting into these programs and whether they're actually good programs.

Anyone with experience have some info/reviews/suggestions?

I did the RISD film photography (traditional) this summer and absolutely loved it. You only have the major on two days and drawing, design, and art history on the the other days but it really is fun and the instructors are all great. You’ll definitely meet interesting people ;D

My daughter just got accepted to Young Artists Residency (YAR) in Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University. It looks really interesting. You can take 4 classes, both film photo (beginners and advanced) and digital. Plus portfolio preparation and art history.

My daughter is looking for a similar program this summer. She has been working for two years in B&W film and needs an advanced program. Where did you end up going and how was it? We are leaning to Parsons right now and maybe Tish next summer. Your thoughts?
