I will be auditioning this spring as a transfer student and I am hoping to find an audition coach to help me with my songs and monologues. Does anyone know of a good coach in the Tampa, Fl area or how to find one? Also, what questions should I be asking them before I agree to spend any money on their service?

Thanks!

acox0527 . . . I don’t know any coaches in the Tampa area, but MTCA coaches work via Skype. My daughter did her coaching (and voice lessons!) via Skype with her fabulous MTCA coaches and it worked really well.

Our D worked with Mary Anna Dennard (Moo) via Skype also. She’s in Dallas, we are in KY. Can’t say enough good things about her. If nothing else, get her book, “I Got In”. It’s an invaluable reference for what to do and not to do from selecting schools and materials to the audition itself. Moo worked directly with D on selecting and working on monologues. And she put her with an amazing vocal coach (who just won a Tony!). in NYC who D also worked with via Skype to select and work on songs.
