Looking for an interesting course

Hi everyone! I'm attending Berkeley in the Fall and I'm looking for a Phase II course to sign up for that will be interesting and hopefully not an overkill amount of work. I am going to be a Molecular Cell Biology major and will be taking Math 53 + Chem 1A in the fall plus an elective that I'm very interested in. So I'm looking for another course, anywhere from 2 to 4 units, maybe fulfilling a breadth requirement? MCB will fulfill physical and biology sciences breadth, and the elective is a philosophy course so PV is fulfilled there.

Any have recommendations for an interesting course from another breadth or maybe an AC course? I have fulfilled all the other requirements through AP credits and whatnot.

anthro 3ac

anthro 2ac

Thanks for the input. Anthro 2ac conflicts with my Chem 1A time slot, so that is out of the question, but I looked into Anthro 3ac and it seems pretty interesting – I might go with that.

Any other ideas for interesting classes? Can be Arts, History, International Studies, or SBS breadth or an AC course… or overall just any class that is overwhelmingly interesting :). Going for a 15-16 unit first semester, so a 3-4 unit course would be fine.

Also, does anyone know if there’s a way to find out what textbooks are used for each course? I might be able to get them pretty cheap/free through a teacher connection if I knew the titles/publishers of the books ^^.

i had this pretty cool/lively professor who taught pmb 13 i think it was plant and cell biology. it was a course that was primarily for biology students and the teacher was nice about grading and very reasonable. i loved the class and i wonder if its still going on.

You can see a course’s book list at the online Cal Student Store: [Locate Course Materials](<a href=“Official Online Store”>Official Online Store)

Thanks for your help Glam. I looked there but some of the stuff didn’t have a great description. For example, Chem 1A said simply “custom chemistry package” with no further information and Math 53 said “Multivariable Calculus custom edition” or something similar. Which custom edition, and whats in the package? Lol… any other help would be appreciated.

Same about the class thing :).
