Looking for Architecture Graduate School

I'll be completing my B.Sc in Architecture Design next year, with a GPA of around 3.2. I know it's very low GPA for a good graduate school, but I'm doing ok with my portfolio and Architecture Studio. I want to study in the US, and I'm an international student. What school should I be aiming for that will fit my education background (realistic target). Thanks everyone...

Might get a better response either in the grad school forum here or on gradcafe forum. Your GPA can be balanced out with an excellent portfolio. As with much of grad school, affording it will be the most difficult part of the process…

Portfolio plays a huge role in graduate school acceptances. After that GPA, recommendations and the where and what of your undergraduate degree are also important. M.Arch admissions are looking to build a balanced class so other factors like life and work experience and personal demographics are also considered.

Just like the undergraduate application process, you’ll want to build a balanced list of reach/match/safety. Look for M.Arch programs that have over 50% admissions rates. If you have no financial or geography restrictions you can pursue programs all over the country. There are a lot of programs to choose from.

Some ideas to start: Northeastern, Cincinnati, Kansas, Oregon, Auburn. I don’t know the exact acceptance rate of these programs, but they are well respected and not as selective as the top ranked names.

highland is right, though: be sure to think about how you’re going to finance this degree.
