Looking for Business/Economics/Engineering Schools

Hi I’m currently a (Chinese, upper-middle class) sophomore who is worrying about what college I might be able to get into.

Here are my criteria:

First Year Courses
Algebra II Honors
English 9 Honors
World Studies Honors
Physics Honors
Latin I

(I don’t know to convert to a 4.0 scale!)
First Year GPA, unweighted: 89.1
First Year GPA, weighted: 91.6

Second Year Courses
AP Calculus AB
AP Chemistry
English 10 Honors
US History 1 (“normal level”)
Latin II

Second Year GPA, unweighted: 92.4
Second Year GPA, weighted: 94.3

I haven’t gotten through junior year, so I don’t have my grades, but I expect to follow an upward trend. Freshman and sophomore years I did not have very great studying habits and I expect them to improve significantly. Though I don’t have the grades, I’ll put down the classes I plan on taking.

Third Year Courses
AP Calculus C
AP English
AP Physics C
AP Computer Science
AP Economics
US History 2 (“normal level”)
[note that I am dropping Latin, but I’ll probably take the SAT subject test for it as a substitute]

My fourth year courses are still undecided.

Regarding SAT/ACT scores, I expect to get 2250+ on the SAT (essay included) and I’m not exactly sure if I should take the ACT, but I did do a practice test in the past, which I scored a 33 composite on.

AP scores have also not been released, but I do expect to get a 4 on all the tests I plan on taking. (Calculus (both), Economics (both), Physics (both), English Language, Computer Science, Chemistry)

ECs

Sports

  • Freshman Boys’ Soccer ('14-'15)
  • JV Boys’ Soccer ('15-'16)
  • Varsity Boys’ Soccer ('16-'18, expected)

Leadership

  • Technology Student Association Treasurer ('15-'18, probably will stay in this position through high school)
  • Science Olympiad Captain ('16-'18, probably will stay in this position through high school)
  • Freshman Boys’ Soccer Captain ('14-'15)
  • TEAMS Captain ('16-'18, probably will stay in this position through high school)

Volunteer Work

  • Coaching little kids soccer (~10 hours)
  • I plan on tutoring ( ? hours)
  • I plan on going to the soup kitchen (? hours)
I’m not exactly sure how many hours is an optimal amount.

As the title states, I wish to go to a school majoring in Business/Economics/Engineering.

Could you provide a potential list of colleges I might be able to get into?

Thanks.

Are you a Chinese international student, or a Chinese American (US citizen or permanent resident) student? If the latter, is your state of residency New Jersey?

Have you talked to your parents about what they will contribute to your college expenses?

@rtfugb

As presented, the list of schools would be very long. You need to give more specifics to narrow the list down. What are your preferences on size of school, location, sports, Greek life, and anything else that might allow for a list of 15 or so instead of 150 or so.

Uhh the SAT isn’t out of 2400 anymore…
