Preferably looking for schools near or in cities and in the Northeast
Also, I will need finaid at the more expensive schools and would like to not have problems getting in (For context, I have a 3.5uw and a 1500 sat)
Right now I’m looking at Northeastern, BU, BC in boston and would like to expand on this
Financial aid is hit or miss at many of these but American, Case Western, GWU, URochester, Pitt, and Drexel come to mind as considerations. Drexel has co-op like Northeastern but is a bit less competitive in terms of admissions. NYU is known to be stingy on aid but can be good for some straightforward cases (no divorced parents, no large investments, no large property owned) and is probably worth the application. Most of these are matches, Drexel probably being the safest but not a safety because of FA.
I’d caution generally that BC has a very different vibe than BU/Northeastern despite being close in location and selectivity, so it may be worth confirming you’re good with both atmospheres. It may be that you’re looking for one and not the other, or it may not matter at all.
@SkNoVa, what do you want to study? Roman Catholic Villanova U in greater Philadelphia. Do you want a Roman Catholic university? George Washington U right in the heart of DC. Its a bit easier to get in than CWRU.
