I don’t think you should eliminate the UC schools from your list, but be aware what their costs are and that as an OOS student you are not going to get much from them, and your chances of getting in are going to be small if you are not waaay up there in the stats, not just making their requirements. You have time to look at a number of your options, Visit a few schools and inquire about what research opportunities exist for undergrads. You may be surprised where some of the best opportunities for you are.</p>
