Looking for Good Matchs

Starting off with a little background info... Born in US to Taiwanese immigrants, middle class, living in SoCal, attending a public magnet school (7-12, 100% of graduates attend college, arguably the best on West Coast).

I've taken the most rigorous courseload available to me, with the exception of my sophomore year where I opted for Geography Honors instead of AP Euro or Human Geography and Chem CP instead of Chem Honors. My GPA has steadily improved, but I got my one and only C in second semester of Junior year in Math Analysis/Calc A ("Fasttrack"... Ouch)

GPA: 3.4~, unweighted. UC GPA would be slightly above 4.0. School does not rank (Thank god)
SAT I: 2040, 790 math, 650 critical reading, 600 writing.
SAT IIs: 670 Chem, 720 Physics, 740 Math 2C, taking Chinese this November, anticipating close to, if not, 800.
ACT w/ Writing: 31 composite, forgot the rest, but English was bringing me down with a 25.
APs: 5 on US History, 4 on English Language, yet to take English Lit, Physics, Comp Sci, and maybe Calc AB

Spaceset (World Champion Team), 9th-12th grade, Secretary.
Model United Nations, 9th-10th grade.
Junior Statesmen of America, 11th grade (No time this year)
Japanese Club, 10th-12th grade.
Physics Club, 12th grade (New club, might make cabinet)
Math Club, 12th grade (Another new club)
Chinese Club, 9th grade (Ditched it, they did nothing)
Japanese National Honor Society
National Merit Commended Student

No community service (>_>), 9th grade soccer, but quit. Anticipating two strong letters of rec. Despite what my test scores may suggest, I'm a more than competent writer and should be able to come up with a decent essay or three. I'm already applying to the UCs and Franklin Olin, maybe USC, Carnegie Mellon, and Brown... I'm looking for a college with a good engineering program, since that's what I'm currently interested in, but I'll be damned if it's stuck in the Bible Belt or has a 9:1 male to female ratio.

mmm some of those will be tough for you to get into (Borwn, Carnegie Mellon). These days no community service is practically suicide, and anything below a 3.5 is just asking for rejection. You should retake the SATs if you have any hope of a top tier school. Right now you obviously can't give yourself a 4.0 and ECs you just don't have, but a little community service is better than none, and play up your positives big time.

TheSublimeTruth:

UCB/UCLA: Slight Reach
UCSD: Match
UCI/UCSB/UCD: Safety
UCSC/UCR/UCM: Super Safety

Bump. I really need to narrow my options down...
