Looking for good Pre-med Schools in New England!

Hi guys! I’m a rising senior really interested in persuing medical school after undergrad, but I’m having trouble finding schools that are great for pre-med (specifically, in the NE region.) So I was wondering if anyone out there could please give me any reccomendations on schools? And if i should remove some of the schools on my list. I would like to apply to about 6-8 schools. Thanks!

Schools I’m currently interested in:
-Brown ->plan on applying ED, but can never be hopeful on that =(
-Umass Amherst/Lowell (not sure if i will like the big school environment though)
-Tufts
-BU (heard the pre-med isn’t that great though so not 100% sure anymore)
-UVM

Schools I am not interested in:
-Brandeis
-Northeastern
-Western New England University

My Personal Info:
-Race: Asian
-Gender: Male
-Unweighted GPA: Not sure… but my councilor said something about a 3.9 - 4… 3.94-4 I think?
-Weighted GPA: 4.01/4.3 scale
-Class Rank: 16/230 (top 10%)
-ACT score: 26 (took 2 timed practice tests recently from Barron’s ACT book and got composites of 29 and 30, hoping to get at least a 32 in September), Essay Score: 26.

-Courses I’m taking this upcomming year:
*AP Chem
*AP Physics 1
*H Anatomy and Physiology
*AP Language and Composition
*AP Calc AB
*H Organic Chem
*Biotechnology (semester)
*Gym (semester)

-Extracurriculars:
*Environmental club (Vice-President senior year), 4 years
*Science Club (Hopefully VP this year), 2 years
*Math League, 4 years
*Play the Drums/Taking Drum lessons, 6 years
*Mentor Leader (1 year -> Senior Year)

-Volunteering:
*70.5 hours in our town’s kids summer camp this year.

Thank you for your time!

Oh sorry! forgot to include im intersted in majoring in one of the following three in this order:

  1. Biochemistry
  2. Biology
  3. Chemistry

Rochester, Case Western, Lehigh, Syracuse, Clark, Clarkson, Hofstra

Holy Cross and the score-optional Bates are included in “The Experts’ Choice: Colleges with Great Pre-med Programs” and might be suitable reaches for you.

Where you go for undergrad is not very i portant when it comes to medical school.

All the schools above are good, including BU. Remember to take price into account!
