Looking for help on studying

Well, after last nights score im pretty disappointed. I knew it wasn't going to be good at all, but i didn't think i would get this low. Anyways i need some tips on studying everything, i have the act prep book and i did practice test for like a month straight with not much improvement. Sooooo i was hoping you guys could link me in the direction of some more books that will help me for the Sept. test.

I seem to be having problems with math and English the most, any advice will help.

If you have the Red Book well that is the best one I can’t say much more but that’s not the only one I got the first thing I did was get a Barrons 36 book and read all the tips and info then I used that knowledge on the Red Book on the practice tests. It gave me a 5 point increase.

I was actually looking at the Barron’s books, they seemed like they would be pretty good. I think im going to buy the English and math/science ones and see if it helps any. Can anyone recommend anything for math? Preferably something with cd explanation and something that covers all aspects of act math. :D

50 top skills for a top ACT score (math edition)

Is the Top 50 skills for a top score: ACT english, reading, and science a good one too?

Also, can someone give me some information on the book " CliffsNotes Math Review for Standardized Tests" it seems to have many positive reviews about it

English: Silverturtle’s SAT grammar guide. I know it’s an SAT guide, but grammar is grammar.
Math: Here is a list of the content that appears on the exam: [ACT SparkNotes Test Prep: The Content of the Math Test](<a href=“SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides”>SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides) Learn the content however you want.
Reading: Honestly, mentality is what you need. Don’t use those stupid strategies like go straight to the passage or skim. Just read the passage once through CAREFULLY. Then go to the questions.
Science: Same thing as reading. Don’t use those crazy strategies like “go straight to the questions.” Quickly but carefully read through the information presented and then go to the questions. You have enough time.

Very helpful post! Thanks!

@SpitPhire I have not used the 50 Top Skills reading, english and, science book. I am sure it would be b/c I found the math one helpful…
